I saw people who have been sitting down licking their own wounds for quite a while. To ‘lick your wounds’, means “to recover one’s strength or confidence after a defeat or humiliating experience.” These people were fixated on their pain and offense, keeping them stuck and self consumed. I saw Jesus come over, bend down, and gently readjust their faces to fix their eyes on Him. Many of these people were wearing their wounds as their identity, however it was creating an unhealthy victim mentality. I saw Jesus place a badge of honor on their chest, realigning their identity in Him.
I feel someone needs to hear “Your pain matters but so do the promises of God. Don’t allow your wounds to determine your way. Fix your eyes on Jesus, get up, and start walking forward, even if it’s in faith. It’s time to rise, it’s time to roar, it’s time to soar.”
Dwell in His presence! He turns pain into promise. He replaces shame with honor. He is your HEALER and REDEEMER. Things you think will take years to heal in the natural, can take minutes in His presence. His truth sets you free, allow it! Receive His invitation!
“As for us, we have all of these great witnesses who encircle us like clouds. So we must let go of every wound that has pierced us and the sin we so easily fall into. Then we will be able to run life’s marathon race with passion and determination, for the path has been already marked out before us. We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection.” Hebrews‬ ‭12:1-2‬ ‭TPT‬‬
