FREEDOM IN THE FIRE

Did you know you can live in freedom while walking through the fire? When it looks like things are falling apart around you and you’re getting hit on every side, you can walk in the freedom Jesus sacrificed His life for!

“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.” Galatians 5:1 NIV

We can become a slave to bondage, our emotions, our pain, and allow the fire to swallow us, or we can enter Christ’s freedom provided through our salvation.

Many times I have walked through fire, and in the midst of it realized I was allowing it to overtake me! I had to take the fire escape ladder out and enter freedom through faith and trust in our God. The fire didn’t stop, however I learned to breath in His fresh air, not allowing myself to get suffocated by the smoke and fumes.

Freedom isn’t contingent upon your circumstances changing. Freedom is always available and it is activated through your faith. Faith requires action, not perfection. Faith is a choice. Faith bring hope and manifests a new reality.

“Now faith brings our hopes into reality and becomes the foundation needed to acquire the things we long for. It is all the evidence required to prove what is still unseen.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭TPT‬‬

As I was studying scriptures on freedom, I came across this scripture translation and it gave me a new perspective and picture of receiving freedom in the fire.

“Now, the “Lord” I’m referring to is the Holy Spirit, and wherever he is Lord, there is freedom.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Our freedom is contingent upon who is LORD over our circumstances! If we allow the enemy and lies be our Lord over our finances, we will be yoked to bondage, fear, and a poverty mindset. If we allow Holy Spirit to be Lord over our finances, whether our bank account is plentiful or in the negative, we can experience freedom, peace, hope, expectation, and God’s goodness. Your mental and emotional state are evidence of who is Lord in a particular area of your life.

So today, I invite you, along with me, to evaluate where you are allowing Holy Spirit to be Lord and where you may not be. What fruit mentally and emotionally are you experiencing? I encourage you to kick the enemy out of the places you have allowed him to rule and reign. How!? Take authority, come out of agreement with mindsets, arm yourself in the word, prayer, faith, and declare Heaven’s reality!
